
Crews arrived within minutes to find heavy fire coming from the side and rear of a two-story home. Firefighters battled challenging conditions, including strong winds, flaring propane tanks, and unstable interior floors. All residents evacuated safely before crews arrived, and no injuries were reported. The American Red Cross is helping the displaced family.
The fire is under investigation. The Fredericksburg Fire Department and Quantico Fire & Emergency Services assisted on scene.

Structure Fire
Just after 4PM on Sunday, November 16th, SCFR units were dispatched for a structure fire in the 00 block of Willow Lane, near Red Oak Lane. First arriving crews marked on scene approximately 2 minutes later and found heavy fire showing from the side and rear of a two-story, single-family residence. Crews worked quickly to both search the residence and extinguish the fire both inside and outside of the residence. Crews were challenged by windy conditions and compromised propane tanks, which continued to flare during suppression efforts. Additionally, interior floors were compromised, further hampering efforts.
All occupants were able to evacuate prior to the arrival of units. No injuries were reported. Two adults and three children were displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross. Two additional houses sustained moderate damage.
The fire is under routine investigation. Fredericksburg Fire Department and Quantico Fire & Emergency Services assisted on scene.
