Susan Marie Thacker

Susan Marie Thacker (Cronin) was born August 3, 1946 in Jacksonville, Florida. Soon after her family moved to Alexandria, Virginia where she lived until 1968. She graduated from Thomas Edison High School in Fairfax County Virginia in 1964 and began working at C&P telephone company in Washington, D.C. In 1968 she married James Thacker and moved to Columbus, Ohio where her husband attended Trinity Lutheran Seminary. They served a congregation in Jordan, Montana where Susan worked for the local paper, The Jordan Tribune, and was instrumental in developing a transportation system for Senior citizens.
Her husband next served a congregation in Madison, MN where her son Christopher was born. They then moved to Woodbridge, VA where her husband served a congregation in Dale City, VA for 29 years. During this time Susan graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a BA in religious studies and began her career in Logistics with the Federal Government. After retirement in 2009 Sue and her husband were blessed to travel all over the world
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Dan and Winifred Cronin, and her brother Douglas. She is survived by her son Christopher and her husband James.
