Virginia Railway Express expects large crowds this afternoon as workers look to get away for the long President’s Day weekend.
The commuter railroad told passengers today to expect large crowds on Fredericksburg train #303, which leaves Washington’s Union Station at 3:35 p.m., and Manassas train #327 which leaves Union Station at 3:45.
VRE today will make these trains longer to accommodate more passengers, according to a statement sent out by railroad management.
VRE managers also reminded riders their trains will not be in service on Monday in observance of Presidents Day.
