Security guard held a knifepoint at Woodbridge transit center

As security guard and the OmniRide Transit Center in Woodbridge got into an argument with another man and was pushed to the ground and beaten.

Prince William police were called to the transit center at 14700 Potomac Mills Circle in Woodbridge at 6:27 p.m. Tuesday, April 7. While the security guard was on the ground, another man started kicking the guard, and then pulled out a knife and then held it to his throat, police said.

Another security guard was able to break up the fight and then call the police. Afterward, one of the attackers grabbed a metal pipe and walked toward the guards, police said. Both attackers fled the scene before police arrived.

Eventually, police found the two suspects nearby the transit system and arrested them. Anthony Tyrone Langhorne, 24, Kenneth Robert Clayton, 36, both of no fixed address were charged with attempted malicious wounding and assault & battery, said police. Both men are due in court Septemeber 27.

The security guards reported minor injuries.
