I-95 south aux lane meeting planned at Old Bridge Elem School

Transportation officials want to hear your thoughts on the construction of a fourth-lane on Interstate 95 south, between Route 123 at Occoquan and Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge.

The Virginia Department of Transportation writes:

The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a design public hearing Wednesday, Dec. 4 (if canceled due to inclement weather, the meeting will be held Wednesday, Dec. 11) on plans to construct a 1.5-mile auxiliary lane on southbound I-95 from Route 123 (Gordon Boulevard) to Prince William Parkway (Route 294) in order to relieve congestion and improve safety and operations.

This project is financed with federal and state funding, as well as part of the concession fee provided under the 95 Express Lanes Project Comprehensive Agreement.

Stop by between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at Old Bridge Elementary School, 3051 Old Bridge Road, Woodbridge, VA 22192 to learn more about the study and to provide your input. A short presentation will begin at 7 p.m., and VDOT staff will be available to answer questions.

Comments may be provided at the meeting or sent to VDOT by Dec. 16, 2019. E-mail or mail comments to Mr. Calvin Britt, P.E., Project Manager, Virginia Department of Transportation, 4975 Alliance Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030.
