Police found the body of a man shot to death was found early Thursday.
Officers were called to the area of Bel Air Road and Jefferies Road, off Route 1 in Woodbridge at 1:06 a.m. to investigate a shots fired call. They found the body of 25-year-old Eric Lanier Tate II, of Woodbridge.
Tate was pronounced dead on the scene. An investigation into his death is underway. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Prince William police at 703-792-7000 or submit a web tip.
