NORTH STAFFORD — Stafford sheriff’s deputies found a woman passed out in a car in front of a grocery store.
A witness called 911, and deputies arrived at the Weis Market at 905 Garrisonville Road in North Stafford at 9:43 p.m. Saturday.
Emergency crews used Narcan to revive the woman, according to a Stafford sheriff’s spokeswoman, the substance commonly used to revive opioid users.
Deputies searched the car and found open beer cans, a clear plastic baggie containing brown powdery residue, prescription pill bottles, and a green, leafy substance that appeared to be marijuana, according to a spokeswoman.
The woman later told investigators she had been drinking before driving a 7-Eleven, and then her husband drove her to the grocery store, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies obtained a warrant to test the woman’s blood, and then she was arrested.
Deputies also spoke with the man identified as the woman’s husband and detected the strong odor of alcohol on his breath, according to the sheriff’s office.
Tammy Savage, 55, of Stafford is charged with possession of controlled substances, possession of marijuana, driving under the influence, driving DUI revoked, and possession of an open container of alcohol.
James Savage, 60, of Stafford, is charged with driving under the influence, according to the sheriff’s office.
