3 teens, 2 juveniles indicted in Manassas lynching

MANASSAS – (Press Release) On December 3, 2018, during a Grand Jury hearing, five suspects were indicted in connection with the murder of Reynaldo Eliazar Araujo which occurred on Massie St in the City of Manassas on August 30, 2018.

All five suspects have been indicted for lynching which is considered 2nd-degree murder and is defined by Virginia Code §18.2-39 as “any act of violence by a mob upon the body of any person, which shall result in the death of such person.”

Additionally, one juvenile suspect was indicted for murder. The two juvenile suspects indicted in the case will be tried as adults. Court dates are pending.

Arrested: MARTIN, Terrance Tyrese, an 18-year-old resident of Manassas
