eland Ernest Fletcher (CWO4, USA, Ret.), age 84, of Woodbridge, VA, passed away on June 30, 2017, with his beloved wife; Erna by his side. They had spent the last 61 years together. Leland was born in Weston,, OH on November 13, 1932 to the late Albert and Irene (Brown) Fletcher. He is also survived by his sisters Sharon Wulff (Gary) and Frances Ghaelen. His brother William predeceased him. Adored uncle of Rae Ann Ach, grand uncle of Leslie Baylie and great granduncle of Bridget.
Chief Fletcher proudly served our country in the United States Army for 26 years as a logistician He served in Germany, Korea and Vietnam After retirement, he could be found gardening, fishing, hunting or reading. His beloved wife was usually by his side.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Old Post Chapel, Ft. Myer, VA; with inurnment in Arlington National Cemetery.

On June 20th, 2025, Woodbridge Rotary Club will be holding our 21st annual charity golf tournament. This tournament is in memory of two of our past Presidents and valued members of the community. Joe Devaney passed away March 22, 2005 and a few years ago, Bill O’Hop passed away barely a week after playing in this tournament in 2015. Both Joe and Bill were each other’s best friends and they both loved golf! Please help us pay tribute to our dear friends by participating in this tournament and helping us to support our local and international charities.
