CoAspire, a Fairfax-based defense and aerospace company, is opening a new assembly and manufacturing facility in Manassas, further boosting the city’s status as a hub for high-tech, high-wage jobs in the defense sector. The company is best known for its work on the Rapidly Adaptable Affordable Cruise Missile (RAACM), a next-generation, 3D-printed missile designed for affordability and exportability.
The company will occupy the former 30,000-square-foot Georator facility and plans to hire more than 25 employees for roles in engineering, precision manufacturing, quality assurance, and production support. Job postings are expected to appear on LinkedIn in the coming weeks as CoAspire ramps up operations.
Founded in 2013, CoAspire serves as both a prime and subcontractor, offering products and services to the U.S. government and other companies in the defense and aerospace industries. Its flagship RAACM program supports the Extended Range Attack Munition (ERAM) initiative and is designed to offer a lower-cost alternative to traditional cruise missiles.
Manassas is already home to prominent industry names such as BAE Systems, Boeing, Leidos, Lockheed Martin, and General Dynamics, as well as a range of mid-sized contractors. City officials say CoAspire’s arrival underscores Manassas’ growing role in advanced manufacturing and strengthens its already competitive average weekly wages in the professional and technical services sector.
