Driver Killed in Early Morning Crash on Courthouse Road

A 36-year-old Spotsylvania man died in a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning, December 8, in the area of Courthouse Road and Ronquest Lane.

Deputies arrived around 4:20 a.m. to find a 2008 Nissan Titan that had veered off the roadway and struck a tree. Investigators believe the vehicle initially left the right side of the road, crossed back over, and then hit the tree. The driver, Saul Amaya Argueta, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the incident.

On Monday, December 8, 2025, at approximately 4:20 a.m., deputies from the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle crash in the area of Courthouse Road and Ronquest Lane.

Upon arrival, deputies located a 2008 Nissan Titan off the roadway and into a tree. The preliminary investigation indicates the Nissan ran off the right side of the road, then crossed back over before striking the tree.

The driver, Saul Amaya Argueta, 36, of Spotsylvania, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin has been notified.

The incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Traffic Reconstruction Unit.
