We had a night full of firsts — my first time live-streaming a parade and my first Fredericksburg Christmas Parade. A huge thank-you to Norton Pelt Law and my friend Jason Pelt for not only hosting us, but also volunteering to build what I’m convinced is the best parade hosting and review platform anywhere. He didn’t have to do it, but he did — and it made all the difference.
I’m also deeply grateful to Kelly Sienkowski for producing and co-hosting the show. Her quick wit and engaging banter elevated the entire broadcast. This parade clearly means so much to the community, and it was an honor to share it with all of you — from those who marched, to the thousands who lined the streets, to everyone who watched and commented from home.
We’ve already been invited back to do it again next year, and I can’t wait.
For now, I’m looking forward to settling in and enjoying the warmth of the holidays with friends and family. But I’m always thinking ahead, and I see even more opportunities to engage our community through live video across multiple platforms, and to serve in new and creative ways.
Merry Christmas!
