Egg-throwing assault reported in Stafford County

In Stafford County, deputies responded to reports of an unusual assault on Mine Road. Victims reported that a white sedan, occupied by multiple individuals, approached them and threw eggs, striking both the victims and a vehicle. The suspects quickly fled the scene after the incident.

In another incident, a fraud complaint was filed on Mount Hope Church Road after a victim discovered multiple unauthorized transactions in various states through their banking account.

On Olympic Drive, a vehicle theft was reported when a resident found their car missing from the parking lot after leaving it overnight. It was confirmed that the vehicle had not been towed.

Additionally, a public intoxication case occurred at Sheetz on Wyche Road. A 58-year-old man from Stafford was arrested after being found visibly intoxicated and in possession of alcohol on the premises.

FRAUD
Mount Hope Church Road, 11/17 7:40 p.m. Deputy R. T. Philippsen responded to a fraud complaint. The victim reported multiple fraudulent transactions through their banking account. The fraudulent transactions were made in several different states.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT
Olympic Drive, 11/16 2:57 p.m. Deputy D. A. Robertson responded to a motor vehicle theft report. The victim reported that they had parked their vehicle in the parking lot on 11/15/2025 after they got home from work. When they went out to get in the vehicle the next day, the vehicle was missing. It was confirmed that the vehicle was not towed from the area.

PUBLIC INTOXICATION
Sheetz, 15 Wyche Road, 11/16 8:01 p.m. Deputy R. W. Stamm responded to the business for a disturbance. The business wished for a subject to be removed from the property. Upon making contact with the subject, Deputy Stamm noticed the subject had visible signs of intoxication to include glassy, bloodshot eyes. Additionally, the subject was in possession of a cup that contained alcohol and a half empty bottle of alcohol. The subject was taken into custody and identified as Ernest Lavender, 58, of Stafford. Lavender was charged with public intoxication and held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

ASSAULT
Mine Road, 11/17 7:46 p.m. Deputies responded to this area and took multiple reports regarding an assault and vandalism. Victims reported that a white sedan, occupied by multiple subjects, would pull up and throw eggs striking the victims and one vehicle. After the eggs were thrown, the suspects would immediately speed off.
