Man Arrested After Assaulting Officer in Woodbridge

A 26-year-old man from Alexandria was arrested in Woodbridge after assaulting a law enforcement officer. The incident occurred on November 20 when officers responded to a crash on Grand Masters Way. The driver, who had struck a parked vehicle, fled the scene on foot. Upon being located by officers, he attempted to escape, leading to a brief chase and struggle during which he grabbed an officer. Minor injuries were reported.

In a separate incident, a residential burglary was reported in Bristow. On November 9, entry was made into a home on Falcon Glen Ct through an unsecured basement door. Jewelry and money were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On November 20, officers responded to investigate a burglary that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 9000 block of Falcon Glen Ct in Bristow (20136) on November 9. The investigation revealed sometime between 12:30PM and 3:00PM, entry was made into the home through an unsecured basement door. Jewely and money were reported missing.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On November 20 at 5:21AM, officers responded to the 4700 block of Grand Masters Way in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a crash. Once on scene, officers determined a driver, later identified as the accused, had struck a parked vehicle and left the area on foot. When officers located the accused on a nearby street, he fled on foot. After a brief chase, officers attempted to detain the accused which led to a struggle. During the altercation, the accused grabbed an officer before being taken into custody. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as David Israel CASTRO-HERNANDEZ, was arrested.

Police have arrested a 54-year-old man with no fixed address in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on October 17 in Woodbridge. The suspect was taken into custody on November 14, following the arrest of another individual involved in the same incident on November 13.

The robbery took place in the 13100 block of Centerpointe Way, where a 61-year-old woman was approached by two men, one of whom displayed a knife and demanded money. The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, and no injuries were reported.

In a separate incident, vandalism was reported at Potomac Shores Middle School in Dumfries on November 14. A swastika was found drawn on a stall wall in the boy’s locker room restrooms. The markings have since been removed by school personnel.

Armed Robbery *ARREST [Previously Released] – On November 13, officers arrested one of the men, identified as Tyree William HUNTER, who was sought in connection to the robbery that was reported to have occurred in the 13100 block of Centerpointe Way in Woodbridge (22193) on October 17. The investigation continues as officers seek the second suspect involved in the robbery.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On October 24, officers responded to investigate a robbery that was reported to have occurred in the 13100 block of Centerpointe Way in Woodbridge (22193) on October 17 at approximately 4:20PM. The investigation revealed the victim, a 61-year-old woman, was in the above area when she was approached by two unknown men. During the encounter, one of the men displayed a knife and demanded money from the victim. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money before leaving the area on foot. No injuries were reported. The victim reported the incident to police several days later.

Vandalism on School Grounds – On November 14 at 8:46AM, the School Resource Officer (SRO) assigned to Potomac Shores Middle School located at 17851 Woods View Dr in Dumfries (22026) was notified of vandalism in the boy’s locker room restrooms. The investigation revealed a swastika had been drawn on a stall wall. No additional markings were reported. School personnel removed the markings.
