White House Weighs Options for $2,000 Tariff Rebate Checks

“The White House is committed to making that happen,” The Center Square reported. “We are currently exploring all legal options to get that done.”

“The president made it clear that he wants to make it happen, so his team of economic advisers is looking into it,” press secretary Karoline Leavitt added.

Earlier in the day, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told Fox & Friends the rebate “would be for families making less than, say, $100,000,” though he noted that “no decision has been made regarding income caps.” He also said the rebate “could come in lots of forms,” including various tax exemptions.
