
An attempted armed robbery occurred in Woodbridge on November 2.
A 55-year-old man was approached by an unknown male suspect near Benita Fitzgerald Drive and Broker Lane in Dale City. The suspect displayed a knife and demanded the victim’s property before fleeing on foot. Fortunately, no property was taken, and the victim was unharmed.
In a separate incident, a commercial burglary took place at Tobacco King on Dale Blvd in Woodbridge. Early on November 4, three masked suspects broke the glass door and entered the store, taking several pieces of merchandise. The suspects damaged cash registers and fled in a dark-colored sedan driven by a fourth suspect.

Attempted Armed Robbery – On November 3, officers responded to investigate an attempted robbery that was reported to have occurred in the area of Benita Fitzgerald Dr & Broker Ln in Woodbridge (22193) on November 2 at approximately 9:30PM. The investigation revealed the victim, a 55-year-old man, was approached by an unknown man while he was walking in the above area. During the encounter, the unknown man displayed a knife and demanded the victim’s property before the suspect left the area on foot. No property was taken, and no injuries were reported.
Commercial Burglary – On November 4, at 12:45AM, officers responded to the Tobacco King located at 2898 Dale Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an alarm activation. The investigation revealed the front glass door had been broken out before three masked male suspects were seen entering the business and selecting several pieces of merchandise. Officers located merchandise strewn throughout the business and two cash registers were damaged. Several boxes of product were taken before the three suspects got into a dark-colored sedan driven by a fourth suspect and left the area.
