New Emergency Veterinary Clinic to Open near Fredericksburg

A new emergency veterinary clinic is set to open in Spotsylvania County, bringing critical pet care services to the Fredericksburg area. Cladda Veterinary Emergency Team, founded by a team of experienced veterinary professionals, is expected to open its doors in mid-May, pending final confirmations.

The clinic’s founder, who had been searching for an ideal location since June 2023, identified a growing need for an emergency and specialty animal hospital in the region. Within months, the core leadership team, including Hospital Director Morgan Braman and LVT Manager Mallory Wisen, was assembled to bring the vision to life.

Cladda Veterinary Emergency Team will provide various emergency services, including routine stabilization, hospitalization, emergency surgeries, STAT in-house labs, bloodwork, urinalysis, cytology, endoscopy, radiology, x-ray, ultrasound, and CT scans. Initially, the clinic will focus on treating cats and dogs but plans to expand its specialty care services.

“Our clinic will take a team-based approach to emergency and specialty medicine, ensuring the best possible care for our patients and clients,” the founder said. “We’ve also carefully designed our hospital layout to create a comfortable and efficient environment for both pets and their owners.”

What sets Cladda apart from other veterinary clinics in the area is its emphasis on teamwork and hospital design. The clinic aims to create a welcoming atmosphere that balances aesthetics with functionality, providing a seamless experience for both pet owners and medical staff.

While an exact opening date has yet to be announced, the team expects to finalize details by early next month. An Open House event is also planned for the Spotsylvania community and referring veterinarians, though it may take place after the official opening.

As an emergency facility, the Cladda Veterinary Emergency Team will operate on a walk-in basis. However, pet owners are encouraged to call ahead to check availability and discuss their pet’s condition before arriving. Once specialty services are added, those appointments will be managed through referrals.

With its launch just a few months away, the Cladda Veterinary Emergency Team is poised to fill a vital need in the local pet care community, ensuring that emergency and specialty veterinary services are readily available to the region’s pet owners.
