Urgent care to open at Embrey Mill Town Center

Embrey Mill Primary and Urgent Care, an independent healthcare organization, join the Stafford business community at 1610 Publix Way, Building B Unit 112, in Stafford.

The organization aims to provide reliable healthcare services. They rang in the New Year and were welcomed by the county with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on January 2, 2023. The office opens to the public on Monday, January 16, 2023.

“Congratulations, Embrey Mill Primary & Urgent Care, on opening your new facility in Stafford. This is a pivotal day for the region, in particular, the Embrey Mill community,” said Supervisor Pamela Yeung, Garrisonville District. “This facility represents the next level of health care for our community and region. I’m proud that our Economic Development Authority was able to support their business expansion through the Business Growth Fund loan program.”

Joining various retail and small businesses, the new Embrey Mill Primary and Urgent Care are located in the Embrey Mill Town Center.

The clinic is owned by Dr. Khan, Sohail, Jolly, and Afsari, who has been in the patient care industry for more than 25 years. Dr. Khan and Dr. Afsari have worked in the Stafford area for almost four years and own Garrisonville Urgent Care on Garrisonville Road in North Stafford.

The CEO of the company, Galam Khan, MD, has been dedicated in direct patient care in Virginia for the past 10 years.

“Embrey Mill Primary and Urgent Care strongly uphold our mission and slogan, ‘Healing Hands and Caring Hearts,'” said Khan.

“The seed that has been sowed here today will soon become a tall tree that provides much care and resources for our community and patients. Working compassionately with our team of medical professionals, we work diligently to provide a healthier and happier Stafford community, “Khan said.

Embrey Mill Primary and Urgent Care was the first recipient of the Stafford EDA Business Growth Fund. The Business Growth Fund provides market-rate gap financing and working capital to qualified businesses.

The Stafford EDA loan of $108,000 provided leasehold improvements to the Embrey Mill Primary and Urgent Care.

“The EDA is honored to support Embrey Mill Primary and Urgent Care and award them with the first EDA Business Growth Fund. This expanding Stafford County business offers the community quality medical services that keep our citizens healthy and safe. We congratulate the staff, the doctors, and the owners, and we thank them for their continued care and investment in our community,” said Howard Owen, Stafford County Economic Development Authority Treasurer.
