The first meeting of the year for the Racial and Social Justice Commission ended before it began.
Jahanzeb Akbar, Vice-Chair, At-large motioned to adjourn the meeting after 40 minutes, including a 10-minute recess. Both Akbar and Commissioner Mac Haddow motioned to adjourn. Chair Shantell Rock and School Board member Lorree Williams abstained from the vote.
