Stafford officials want answers to a school bus system that has failed students across the county.
On Tuesday, County Board of Supervisors Chairman Crystal Vanuch called for an independent investigation into a series of failures that plagued the school division since the start of the school year on Monday, August 9.
With the school division short of more than 40 school bus drivers, hundreds of students were stranded at bus stops. The no-show buses also forced some parents to drive their children to school, delaying the start of school days for more than an hour.
