It was a rocky start to the school year for Stafford County students who relied on a bus to get them to school.
Hundreds of students were left stranded Monday due to the county's lack of school bus drivers. The division apologized for the error and told parents that, starting today, the school division would work harder to ensure all bus routes have an assigned driver.
In the weeks leading up to school, the school division still had 35 bus routes without drivers. The division is still scrambling to hire new drivers to add to its pool of 166 drivers.
