When the Fredericksburg Nationals moved to town, the city government inked a deal to get a stadium suite of its own.
According to the agreement with the FredNats, the city will pay $1 million every year for 30 years for the suite. It's not uncommon for localities to have suites or box seats at their hometown stadiums.
The suite can be used as a meeting place by the city to attract businesses, non-profit organizations, and higher education institutions to relocate to or remain in the city. The suite could also be used to lure new corporations to locate in the city.
