
One man is in custody following a robbery at a 7-Eleven store in Manassas.
At 1 o’clock this morning, police were called to a 7-Eleven at 8901 Godwin Drive for a report of a robbery. The store clerk told police that a man walked into the store and demanded money while implying he was armed.
The victim gave the subject money from the register and the subject fled the scene on foot.
Officers were able to relay the subject’s description information to nearby units who then observed the man who resembled the suspect walking down Sudley Road.
At the sight of officers, the man ran but was apprehended shortly after, police said.
Fredy Salmeron-Velasquez, 37 of Manassas, is charged with robbery.
