A man pulled a gun on a 13-year-old boy during an argument, police said.
The event occurred on Thursday, May 11, at 5:04 p.m. when police arrived to investigate a domestic situation located at 9800 block of McGill Court near Manassas, according to a Prince William County Police press release. Police say that an argument between a boy, 13, and the suspect, a 37-year-old family member, turned violent when the suspect hit the teen multiple times before slamming him into the wall.
According to police, the two were separated by another person in the home. The suspect then grabbed a shotgun and pointed it toward the boy. The suspect threatened the teen and forced him out of the house. Then the boy then ran to a neighbor’s home to call for police.
When officers arrived, the suspect was found and handcuffed. Minor injuries were found on both the suspect and the boy, according to police.
Jermaine Michael Terry, 37, of the 9800 block of McGill Court near Manassas is charged with attempted malicious wounding, possession of a sawed-off shotgun, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and domestic assault and battery. He is currently held without bond.
