A pedestrian is dead and a driver was treated and released from a local hospital following a crash in Woodbridge.
On Friday, May 1, at 2:24 p.m., Prince William police were called to the area of Cardinal Drive and Swan Way in Woodbridge to investigate a crash involving a pedestrian accordingly.
The investigation revealed that a driver of a 2007 Lexus I.S. 250 was traveling east on Cardinal Drive when the car left the roadway in the above area and hit a pedestrian who was walking her dog on the sidewalk, according to Prince William police spokesman 1st Sgt. Jonathan Perok.
The driver of the striking car, a 19-year-old woman remained at the scene of the crash and was later taken to a local hospital for precautionary reasons. She was treated and released.
The pedestrian, identified as Deborah Lynn Talbot, 50, was flown to an area hospital where she later died as a result of her injuries from the crash on Sunday, May 3, according to police.
Alcohol and drug usage weren’t found to be factors of the crash and an investigation continues, according to police.
