Prince William County will sell eight acres of land on Discovery Boulevard at Innovation Park outside Manassas for $2.2 million to CEN Properties, LLC to develop a new corporate headquarters for NCS Technologies.
- The tech firm currently will employ 120 people at its location at 7669 Limestone Drive in Gainesville. The company will expand at its new location and on Discovery Boulevard and will add 30 to 60 new employees, county documents state.
- NCS Technologies is a computer designer and manufacturer engaged in third-party integration, and many of its customers are federal agencies, intelligence communities and all branches of the armed services.
Brentsville District Supervisor Jeanine Lawson made the motion to approve the sale, and it passed unanimously.
The County’s 2017-2020, adopted Strategic Plan lists several economic development strategies, three of which are addressed by this request: increase of total at-place employment, increase growth in targeted jobs because of the Department of Economic Development’s efforts with new and expanding businesses, and increase in private sector investment in new and expanded businesses, county documents state.
