PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — Sinclair Elementary School turns 50, celebration planned
Tim Settle, a former Sinclair Elementary School student who now plays on the defensive line for the Washington Redskins, is expected to attend the celebration.
The celebration will feature songs and dances through the years to include:
- “Hey Jude”
- “We are family”
- “Celebration”
- “Beautiful day”
- “Best day of my life”
The school song “Fly Like an Eagle” will also be performed.
School Principal Heather Goode will make the opening remarks.
Also slated to speak:
- Schools Superintendent Dr. Steven Walts
- Gainesville School Board member Alyson Satterwhite
- Gainesville District Supervisor Peter Candland
The event will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. on March 28, 2019, at the school, located at 7801 Garner Drive near Manassas.
The event will feature a medley of songs and dances through the decades, state and community leaders, featured speakers who attended or taught at Sinclair. Organizers say the event will serve as a walk down memory lane.

The Montgomery County Women’s Chorus will present a concert to benefit the Betty Ann Krahnke shelter for survivors of domestic violence. 100% of ticket sales (less any online processing fees) will go to the shelter.
