NORTH STAFFORD — A new restaurant, retail shop, and brewery are set to open up on Route 610 in Stafford County later this summer.
A second Goodwill and a new Sweeto Burrito are being added to the already restaurant and store heavy road. The new brewery “Barley Naked” is set to open up across from Sweeto Burrito.
The new Goodwill store is set to open up as the grand opening celebration will take place on Friday, August 31, 2018, at 9 a.m. The new Stafford store and donation center is located at 54 North Stafford Complex Center next to Walmart Neighborhood Market at the corner of Garrisonville and Furnace roads.
The new store will add approximately 12 to 15 jobs including a work crew consisting of people with disabilities.
“Rappahannock Goodwill Industries has believed in the power of work to change lives,” said Ted Smith, Senior Vice President & Chief Operations Officer. “In today’s society, to have a job, do it well, and reap the benefits is one of the most important ways a person can live with dignity.”
This will be the second Goodwill store in North Stafford, and the forth Goodwill store to open in Stafford County.
The Sweeto Burrito offers a burrito experience guests might expect at Chipotle or Moe’s, but they add a few different options, like tater tots and french fries wrapped into the burrito.
The restaurant is one of the first tenants in the new shopping center at the Walmart Neighborhood Market which is one of the last commercial strips on the west end of Garrisonville Road.
Barley Naked will open up in September and will be across the street from Sweeto Burrito near The Mantle Cafe at 15 Tech Parkway, as stated on Barley Naked Brewery’s website.
This isn’t the first attempt at the business as Barley Naked started in 2015 but ultimately dissolved due to a loss in profit.
The first attempt at launching the brewery included founder Barry Boyd and $1.2 million of investors.
This time it only includes Boyd, his next-door neighbor Gary Preston, and a group of investors. The amount invested is $240,000.
