Pastor Lonnie Darrel Salyers, age 78 of Amosville, VA died at Fauquier Hospital on Friday, July 14, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was the retired minister of Yorkshire Free Will Baptist Church in Manassas, VA.
He was born on May 20, 1939 in Seco, Kentucky, son of the late George and Mary Donnels Salyers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Daniel; three brothers Leonard, Willie and Don and two sisters Beulah and Millie.
Survivors include his loving wife Chloe Stallard Salyers; his children Michael Salyers and wife Christi and Lisa Lightner and husband Roger; one sister Ruth Salyers; one brother Paul Salyers; his grandchildren Derek, Jeremy, Joshua, Katie, Megan and Austin and by 10 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Yorkshire Free Will Baptist Church 7620 Chestnut Street, Manassas, VA on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-9 PM with remembrances being offered at 8:00 PM. Funeral services at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the church followed by interment in Stonewall Memory Gardens.
