Animals break free in area of Waterfall Road

Updated

Police tell us the animals wee on a neighbor’s property and not on a street.

“…it wasn’t really a police issue,” Prince William police spokesman 1st Sgt. Jonathan Perok stated in an email.

No injuries were reported. The animals did not obstruct traffic.

Animal control was called to the area of Waterfall Road about 8 a.m. for a report of several animals on the loose.

Horses and alpacas broke free about 8 a.m., according to initial information, and were on the run in western Prince William County.

No word yet on how many animals got loose, and if they were wrangled back into their pens.
