Homicide Investigation *UPDATE – On December 11th, detectives from the Homicide Unit reviewed the final autopsy results and investigative details in the October 4th death of Stephen C. BROWN with the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office. As a result, Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney Paul Ebert determined that the circumstances surrounding this incident and subsequent death were deemed self-defense and that the final finding of this homicide was justified.

On the day Brown was killed, he attacked both of his sons, Prince William Commonwealth Attorney Paul Ebert told Potomac Local. After Brown attacked his youngest son, he then went for second, oldest son who would stab Brown to death in self defense, said Ebert.

“He ended up protecting himself and his younger brother in this attack,” said Ebert.
