Christopher Ellis charged with murder in mother’s death

One man is in custody this morning charged in the death of 67-year-old mother.

This morning, Friday, December 11, 2015 at 5:09 am, Stafford deputies were called to 532 Fagan Drive for a man who was in his backyard yelling and screaming and acting strangely.  After assaulting a deputy and a brief struggle with the responding deputies, Christopher Ellis was taken into custody.  When deputies checked the residence they located an elderly female dead from blunt force trauma to the upper body.  The investigation indicated that Christopher Ellis was the subject who inflicted the trauma to the female.  The female has been identified as Ellis’s mother, Elizabeth Ellis, age 67, of the same address.    

Christopher Michael Ellis, 38, of 532 Fagan Drive in Stafford County is charged with one count of first degree murder and is currently being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail.
