The Bone, a popular barbecue restaurant in Manassas, teamed with with Manassas beer maker Heritage Brewery to open a new eatery inside Washington, D.C.’s Verizon Center.
It marks the first collaboration between the beer and barbecue makers.
Heritage Brewery told us this about the opening:
The eatery opened on October 10, 2015- opening night for the Washington Capitals. The partnership was spawned over discussions with The Bone. Beer & barbecue are a perfect match, after all. Heritage plans to open other sports and entertainment venues with The Bone as its partner.
Our CEO, Sean Arroyo, said of choosing the Verizon Center: “We chose the Verizon Center because of the tie to the community in the DMV. We are all huge Caps and Wizards fans and it was the perfect place for us to showcase our beer and BBQ.” We are the only local craft beer in the arena.
It’s also the first location and currently only location that we are serving 16oz cans of American Expedition Honey Ginger Wheat Ale and soon Freedom Isn’t Free IPA.
