Public Works building burglarized, $13K worth of equipment missing

Someone took $13,300 worth of refrigerant from a government building in Manassas.

Officers responded to a call at the Department of Public Works building on 9412 Peabody Street for a burglary, according to Manassas City police.

An individual told officers that between July 31 and August 5, someone broke into a shed on the property and took 38 30-pound cylinders of refrigerant, each worth $350 – totaling $13,300, stated Manassas City police.

No description of individuals involved in the burglary is available at this time.
