A public hearing will be held next week on an environmental study of the proposed Rappahannock River Crossing project on Interstate 95.
The crossing would add collector-distributor lanes parallel to the general purpose lanes of I-95 between Route 17 in Stafford and Route 3 in Fredericksburg.
The public hearing will be held:
Wednesday, June 24
5-7 p.m.
James Monroe High School
2300 Washington Avenue
Fredericksburg, VA 22401
A draft Environmental Assessment (EA) has been completed on the proposed project. Before this project could advance to construction, a design public hearing would be held at a future date. This public hearing will focus only on results from this federally-required environmental study.
Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) staff will be available from 5-7 p.m. at the hearing to present study results, answer questions, and accept comments.
The public hearing will be held in an open house format. No formal presentation will be given.
For anyone unable to attend the hearing, comments may also be submitted through the close of business on Thursday, July 9, 2015.
Comments can be sent by email to [email protected]. Please reference “I-95 Rappahannock River Crossing” in the subject line.
