Forest Park High School in Woodbridge will be hosting a walk for suicide awareness on May 23.
The walk will be 6-miles, and begins at 9 a.m. that morning.
The race was organized by students at the high school to bring awareness to the large number of individuals that commit suicide each year.
According to a release, suicide is the 10th leading causes of death in the United States for all ages.
At the end of the walk, there will be a rally, where officials will speak about the challenges of suicide.
