· The RSVP Program is looking for a volunteer driver to take a woman from her home in Gainesville to the VA Center in DC once or twice a month. It’s a great opportunity to thanks her for her service. She also needs reading tutors at Tyler Elementary School in Gainesville.
· SERVE in Manassas continues to have an urgent need for volunteers to do food pickups at local grocery stores on weekday mornings. Volunteers must be at least 21, have a good driving record and be able to lift boxes that could weigh up to 50 lbs. Training is provided and you drive their van. The Montgomery County Women’s Chorus will present a concert to benefit the Betty Ann Krahnke shelter for survivors of domestic violence. 100% of ticket sales (less any online processing fees) will go to the shelter.
