TRIANGLE, Va. –Â On August 30, a 31-year-old woman told police that following an argument with the male suspect, a friend, he forced her into the bathroom, showed a handgun, and raped her. Police were able to issue a warrant against him and soon found and arrested him.Â

Rape | Abduction with Intent to Defile – On August 30th, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 2200 block of Fort Pickens Ct in Triangle (22172) on August 28th. The victim, a 31 year old woman of Triangle, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused forced the victim to a bedroom where he displayed a handgun and raped her. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants against the accused who was eventually located and arrested without further incident.
