WOODBRIDGE, Va. - On August 27, an 11-year-old girl was choked with a belt by the female suspect. According to the report, there were minor injuries and the suspect was promptly arrested.

Strangulation – On August 27th at 1:30AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15300 block of Gunsmith Tr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic assault. The investigation revealed that the victim, an 11 year old girl, was choked with a belt by the accused, a known acquaintance, following a verbal altercation. The belt broke and the victim ran to a bed room where she called another family member who then contacted police. Minor injuries were reported. The accused remained at home and was detained without further incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
