LAKE RIDGE, Va. – On August 14, a 55-year-old employee at Merchants Tire & Auto was assaulted and robbed in the parking lot by an unknown man.

Armed Robbery – On August 14th at 9:17PM, officers responded to the Merchants Tire & Auto located at 12741 Harbor Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 55 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was an employee of the business and was walking to his vehicle in the parking lot when he was approached by an unknown man. The man pulled out a knife and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency then assaulted the victim before fleeing the area on foot. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 20 & 25 years of age, 5’10”, 150lbs with a thin build, dark complexion and an unshaven face
Last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants
