Police Identify Armed Robbery Suspect

 

WOODBRIDGE, Va.–Police identified one of the suspects  in connection to an armed robbery.

 Armed Robbery *SUSPECT IDENTIFIED –

On August 30th, detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to identify one of the two suspects involved in the armed robbery which was reported to have occurred at the Sunoco Service Station located at 1260 Annapolis Way in Woodbridge on August 9th.

Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants against the suspect, identified as the accused, Edward RUSSELL. The investigation still continues into the identity of the second suspect and the arrest of Edward RUSSELL.

Edward George RUSSELL, 23, of 10702 Castleton St in Upper Marlboro, MD

Described as a black male, 6’1”, 140lbs with a thin build

Wanted for robbery and the use of a firearm in commission of a felony

 

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] –

On August 9th at 7:12PM, police responded to the Sunoco Service Station located at 1260 Annapolis Way in Woodbridge (22191) for a robbery. Employees reported to police that two unknown men entered the business.

One of the men approached the counter to make a purchase. When the employee opened to the cash drawer, the suspect displayed a handgun and removed the drawer.

Both men then fled the store to awaiting vehicle being driven by a third unknown person. No injuries were reported.
