
Police said the body found today in the Occoquan River is that of a missing mother of two, 31-year-old Andrea Crew.
Crew’s 25-year-old husband Caleb is now charged in her death.

Following an extensive investigation, detectives charged Caleb Crew, 25, with the murder of his wife, Andrea Crew on Saturday, August 10, 2013.
Mrs. Crew was reported missing Thursday, August 8.
Mr. Crew was taken into custody at the Mount Vernon District Station and subsequently transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was served a warrant charging him with the murder of Andrea Crew on Saturday evening.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the homicide and it is an active, ongoing investigation. They worked throughout Friday night and Saturday as they conducted an extensive search of the Occoquan River where the body was recovered earlier.
The Fairfax County Police Department extends sincere gratitude to all of the residents who called to express concern and assist police with tips and information on the whereabouts of Mrs. Crew.

A boater discovered a body of a female in the Occoquan River at around 9 a.m. Saturday, August 10.
The body was recovered and transported to the Office of the Medical Examiner where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death. The body has not yet been positively identified. Detectives are continuing to investigate to determine whether or not the body is that of the person that was reported missing earlier this week, Andrea Crew .

OCCOQUAN, Va. — A body was recovered this morning in the Occoquan River.
According to multiple sources, a fisherman found the body of a woman floating in the river near the U.S. 1 bridge, and police from Fairfax County were called to investigate.
A dock hand at Prince William Marina in Occoquan said police used the port as a staging area to conduct thier investigation. But they weren’t there long, he added, only about a half hour and police had cleared the scene.
