Marcus Johnson Will Headline ‘Wine & Jazz’

MANASSAS, Va. — The annual Wine and Jazz Festival — Father’s Day tradition by the railroad — will return to the Manassas Museum lawn this Sunday.

Festival goers are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket and come out to enjoy jazz musician Marcus Johnson, who lives in Maryland and is the owner of music publishing company, Three Keys.

“The Manassas Wine and Jazz Festival is an intimate, relaxed event where you have the opportunity to discuss wines with award-winning Virginia vintners. You will also find many merchants that offer wine related merchandise and artwork,” said Historic Manassas spokeswoman Taylor Lenz.

More than 12 wineries are expected to take part in the event, along with a handful of other vendors.

Tickets sold in advance of the event are $20 each for tasters (includes a festival wine tasting glass) and $10 each for non-tasters that are under 21-years-old. Children 10-years-old and younger can attend the festival for free.

Tickets can be purchased online or in person at the Old Town Manassas Visitors Center at 9341 West Street, between now and Saturday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Prices are expected to go up if purchased at the gate the day of the festival, said Lenz.
