A tornado watch is in effect for most of Virginia, including Prince William and Stafford counties, and the Greater Manassas area.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue to develop this afternoon into the overnight hours. In addition to tornadoes, the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy downpours, the National Weather Service states.
When the tornado watch was issued at 2 p.m., a line of storms was moving through the Dale City and Stafford areas.
The thunderstorm threat hangs around with us again tomorrow.
