Abduction Charges Filed Against Woodbridge Man

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A Woodbridge man faces charges of assault and battery after a woman was beat up at a party.

It happened Friday night when the 25-year-old victim told police she was at a home in the 3300 block of Blazer Loop in Woodbridge she got into an argument with the person she came to the gathering with. That argument escalated and she was then forced into a bathroom where she was assaulted by the acquaintance, according to a police report.

The woman suffered injures that did not appear to be life threatening, and police tracked down the suspect in the case and arrested him on Sunday.

Owen Anthony Thompson, 26, of 12655 Wimbley Lane in Woodbridge, is charged with abduction, domestic assault and battery, and marijuana possession, a police report states.

Assault by Mob – On April 21st at 11:42PM, police responded to the 14400 block of Belvedere Dr in Woodbridge (22193) for an assault. The victim, a 25 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking home when he was approached by a group of unknown individuals. The group assaulted the victim, knocking him to the ground. A passing vehicle caused the group to scatter. Minor injuries were reported. The victim could only report that there were 3 heavy set black females and 6 or 7 black males wearing all black in the group.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On April 19th at 7:24PM, police responded to the 14600 block of Bakersfield Sr in Woodbridge (22193) for a shots fired call. Multiple callers reported hearing several gunshots and a vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed. Officers determined that the shots had been fired from the vehicle and discovered damage to a residence in the above area. Officers made entry into the residence to check on the welfare of any occupants. The house was found to have been empty at the time of the incident. Shell casings were also located in the area above. No injuries were reported. Witnesses reported that there were three occupants in the vehicle. Only the driver could be described.

Residential Burglary – On April 21st at 10:26PM, police responded to the 7500 block of Belle Grae Dr in Manassas (20109) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:20PM and 9:42PM. Entry appeared to have been made through the front door which had been forced open. No property was reported missing, however items had been moved within the residence.

Burglary to School Property – On April 20th at 9:30PM, police responded to Potomac View Elementary School located at 14601 Lamar Rd in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Security reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:00PM on April 19th and 9:20PM on April 20th. Entry appeared to have been made through an annex trailer through a window which had been broken out. A laptop, valued around $700, was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On April 20th at 3:06PM, police responded to the 2600 block of Maple Ridge Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that he was on an upper level of the residence when he heard noise coming from the first floor. Upon checking on the noise, the homeowner discovered an unknown man fleeing his residence. Entry appeared to have been made through an open sliding glass door. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On April 20th at 1:17AM, police responded to the 13700 block of Lynn St in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:30PM on April 19th and 1:15AM on April 20th. Entry appeared to have been made through the front door which had been forced open. Two gaming consoles, valued around $450, in addition to, an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were reported missing.
