Apparent Robbery Investigated in Dumfries

The strong-armed robbery occurred on Kearsarge Drive in Dumfires, town police Chief Robert Forker confirmed.

Police in Prince William County are the main investigative agency and are expected to later release details on the incident.

DUMFIRES, Va. — Police have been called to the area of Fort Monroe Court in Dumfries to investigate a robbery, according to initial reports.

The incident occurred just before 6 p.m. Police appear to be on the lookout for a person suspected in the heist. That person took off running in the direction of Dumfries Shopping Plaza, according to initial reports.

Police are canvassing the area around U.S. 1 and Old Triangle Road.
