Botts Avenue Closed Tuesday

WOODBRIDGE, Va. –– A car crash has led to an emergency closure of Botts Avenue in Woodbridge planned for Tuesday.

More in an statement from the Virginia Department of Transportation:

Botts Avenue will be closed tomorrow December 4th, from 9 am to 3 pm, for an emergency pole replacement. Dominion Power will be replacing a utility pole that was severely damaged during a recent car accident. Closing the road is necessary due to safety concerns related to the nature of the work. Details of the closure are as follows:

· Botts Avenue (Rte. 1257) in Prince William County

· Closure location: From Horner Road to Prince William Parkway

· Date and time of closure – December 4, 2012, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

· Alternate route will be to use Summerland Drive

PWC police, fire, and rescue are being notified. School transportation is also being notified. Detour signs will be in place to guide traffic around the closure.

Botts Avenue is a residential street that links Horner Road with Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge.
