McDonalds Evacuated after Grease Fire

DALE CITY, Va. — How hot do you like your fries? You could get them very hot if you went to a McDonalds restaurant today at Minnieville Road and Dale Boulevard.

The restaurant in the heart of Dale City was evacuated after a grease fire flared up inside the building about 11 a.m.

No injuries were reported. Fire and rescue crews called to the scene were able to extinguish the blaze.

And it may be a while before Big Macs are served here again, at least in the immediate future. Prince William County Fire Asst. Chief Curt Brodie said a health department inspector will be called to assess smoke damage and must give the green light for the golden arches to reopen.
