Arrest Made in Attempted Abduction

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Police have one person in custody after police reported a woman was nearly abducted while walking outside a hotel in Woodbridge on Saturday morning.

More in a statement from Prince William police:

Abduction | Assault & Battery *ARREST – On November 20th, detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau were able to identify the man involved in the abduction and assault & battery incident reported on November 18th at the Econo Lodge in Woodbridge. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against the accused. The accused turned himself into police without incident.

Arrested on November 20th:

Clarence Olutayo OLOWU, 28, of 204 Center Ln in Occoquan

Charged with abduction and assault & battery

Court date set for January 25, 2013, held WITHOUT bond

Police alerted residents about the incident in a statement Saturday night, which included a sketch of the suspect.

The Montgomery County Women’s Chorus will present a concert to benefit the Betty Ann Krahnke shelter for survivors of domestic violence. 100% of ticket sales (less any online processing fees) will go to the shelter.
