WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A small fire broke out in the basement of a house on Rosedale Court in Woodbridge on Monday.
No one was injured, but the damage in the noontime blaze was said to be $5,000. The fire remains under investigation by the Prince William County Fire Marshal’s office.
A family was inside the home but was able to escape unharmed after the fire started.
Officials urge homeowners and families to have working smoke detectors in their homes, and with the recent time change it may not be a bad time to make sure your smoke detector is working.
